Charlotte and Nik are one of those sweet couples that you can’t help but like. They grew up in the same small town in Virginia as my husband, so we had many mutual friends despite never actually having met in person. I knew that, after college, Nik accepted a prestigious position with Clemson University’s athletic department working to develop films for their football program. They are quite the talented duo as Charlotte is a photographer! I always joke that these two could rule the wedding world if they liked, creating a high-powered photography and videography team! But they both enjoy their current niche and I wouldn’t tell them to change that for the world. 

When Rob and I were heading to Hilton Head, I reached out to these two about coming down for an anniversary session. If you’ve never been to HHI, the first thing you need to do is drop everything and go! It’s truly one of the prettiest places on the east coast and where we hope to call home one day, even if that’s when we retire. I digress… Charlotte and Nik agreed to come visit and a beautiful session ensued. 

After receiving the scans back I knew I wanted to share this on Fine Art Marriage as it has one of my all time favorite mission statements: “We believe in the tender way a husband guides his wife after years of navigating life together. in the type of bond made stronger each time it’s forged through fire. and in the comfortable embrace that’s been perfected through years of refusing to let go. Our aim is to showcase authentic imagery that encapsulates the timeless essence of two individuals who are committed to forever. Because we are dedicated to celebrating the genuine beauty that exists within a sacred vow.”

After all, that’s what weddings are all about — not the fancy details or pretty dresses (although those are great!), but about the marriage that comes after all that is finished. I have fully supported this idea since day one, so it is an honor to have my work featured on the blog here.
