Elegant Rixey Manor Wedding

Sarah and Kevin were married during a gorgeous Rixey Manor wedding earlier this June on a cool summer day. One of those days where thunderstorms are lingering in the distance, daring you to guess whether they will break overhead or pass you right by. I’ll be totally honest, the forecast wasn’t looking too promising on the morning of their big day, but we had our umbrellas in tow and a rain plan should it decide not to cooperate. I found myself shooting all of Sarah’s stunning details in Rixey’s window-filled reception space (which makes natural light loving wedding photographer SO happy!) and noticed the sun was playfully peeking around the clouds. It continued to drift in and out while we photographed the bride stepping into her dress and seeing her lovely bridesmaids for the first time, so I was excited knowing that their first look was just around the corner.

Somehow, we managed to capture all couples, wedding party, and family portraits outside so these two could have the beautiful scenery of this property as the backdrop for their photos. Thinking ahead, they tented their ceremony which was a brilliant idea as the thunder set in literally moments before Sarah walked down the aisle — talk about an epic soundtrack! Guests then gathered inside for cocktail hour, enjoying both of their delicious signature drinks and waiting in anticipation for Nate, their talented DJ, to kick off the dance floor! From what I hear, this incredible group lasted well past midnight, so it’s pretty clear these two know how to throw a party!

Sarah and Kevin, I hope your amazing wedding day surpassed all of your wildest dreams! It was such a privilege to work and celebrate alongside the two of you and I am SO happy that we can to reconnect in just a few months for Kristina & Sean’s big day! Hope you’re off enjoying sunny Boca! xx
