Sabrina and Charlie’s Lincoln Memorial engagement session in Washington, DC took place on a sunny, albeit chilly!, morning this March. Sabrina’s sweet sister, Angelina, and her mom flew up all the way from South Carolina just to help execute the perfect hair and makeup (alongside to perfectly planned dresses!). While the forecast may have not been ideal (ahem, looking at you, wind) these two never complained and were just excited for the photos. Oh and did I mention that we just happened to be shooting on the one day the Reflecting Pool was drained!?
It turns out that Sabrina and Charlie are no strangers to overcoming challenges together. They met shortly after Sabrina moved to the District for work. She didn’t know anyone in the city and was just getting settled. Their office sent all the new hires on a group training, where they spent nearly every moment with one another… so it’s almost as if they were destined to end up with one another.
This past July, Charlie planned a surprise trip for the two of them — Sabrina had no idea where they were headed; she was just told to pack a bag. At the airport they were told their flights were totally cancelled. Not just postponed, but flat out cancelled. Charlie had to break the surprise and they worked over the next 36 hours to get themselves to Banff! They got to enjoy the turquoise lakes of Canada, hike the via ferrata, oh and… get ENGAGED!
These two will be married next spring at the Willard InterContinental where Charlie and Sabrina’s families will join as one! Surely these two deserve all the warmth and sunshine that April has to offer here in Washington, DC!
