Jenny and Kyle’s garden ceremony during their Airlie wedding in Warrenton, VA was by far the hottest of the year! It reached over 100 degrees and guests practically made a beeline for the water station every chance they got. It wasn’t until after the sun had set that they dared to venture out of the shade! But weather was just a small part of this heartfelt day and these two certainly didn’t let it stop them from having a blast with their closest friends and family.
It was their friends Sarah and Brett, the maid of honor and best man to be exact, who actually introduced Jenny and Kyle to one another three (not two, Brett) years ago. J & K were both serving in the wedding party and Sarah and Brett decided to play matchmaker one weekend via text. They hit it off immediately and enjoyed their first date in Washington, DC on a day almost as hot as this one. After dating long distance, Jenny made the move to Northern VA to be with Kyle and he proposed at a winery just a few months later. I loved hearing how Kyle said he was nervous for the ceremony… not because of the marriage part, that part was easy as he always knew Jenny was the one… but because they wrote their own vows and he wasn’t sure his could ever live up to being good enough for her. I’ve been to a lot of weddings, so trust me when I say they were fantastic.
Spending the day with Jenny, Kyle, and their families made it clear these two could never fail — so much love and support surrounds them in every aspect of their lives. It was such an honor to be part of this occasion and I’m so excited for Jenny to return to teaching next year as Mrs. Smith!
