Hi, I'm Alicia.

VA Bride Magazine: Country Club of VA Wedding Feature

Feb 27, 2019

Peebles and Lauren were married in a gorgeous summer wedding at The Country Club of Virginia in Richmond, VA. It came as no surprise that this ended up being one of my favorite weddings of the entire season; Lauren, a bride after my own heart, was inspired by the stunning artwork of the famous French impressionist, Edgar Degas, and ballet culture in general when planning her details and decor. She went so far above and beyond that I had to separate their Country Club of VA wedding into two parts as there were just too many details for one post! The detailed invitation suite, water-colored drink signage, a greenery-lined tablescapes are just a few highlights!

But the bride wasn’t just skilled in pulling together details for the ceremony and reception; she is also quite the fashionista herself! From her gorgeous Paolo Sebastian gown, that was custom made for her and designed with Swan Lake in mind, to her perfect blush Valentino Rockstuds and Liv Hart accessories, not a single part of her wedding day look was out of place.

One of the best parts about being a photographer is knowing that you are eternally capturing memories of all the hard work that went into planning this one day that goes by entirely too fast to take in at once. I love thinking about my brides and grooms seeing details the never even noticed at the time when they receive their full gallery! The only thing that makes this even better is when I am able to locate a magazine or blog that is a good fit for showcasing their big day — because, for me, that simply means that so many other brides and grooms get to be inspired by one of my couples and how cool is that!? For Lauren and Peebles, that publication ended up being Virginia Bride Magazine, which, coincidentally, is the same place my wedding was featured a few years ago! I loved grabbing a copy (okay, three copies) of the most recent issue to see how they chose to display the affair — in my opinion? Perfection! Be sure to grab a copy from their website or local retailer so you can see all of the gorgeous wedding in this edition!
