When I first arrived in Provence, I knew immediately it was going to make the dream backdrop for any type of photography shoot — each town was built exclusively with the softest white-tan stone and was covered in olive green foliage that made my little photographer’s heart smile. But it wasn’t until I arrived at the wedding venue of Domaine de Sarson, just outside of the small town of Grignan, that I realized just how truly special this place was. The expansive property of nearly 40 acres was built in the 11th century and featured the infamous stone of the region; it was complete with old ruins, an olive grove, and the most beautiful view overlooking what felt like all of France.
It also made the perfect backdrop for what turned out to be an even more stunning wedding shoot organized by Lauren Fair and Julie Paisley. The incredible team behind Oleander Curated designed not only a gorgeous bouquet dripping with soft pastels, but a stunning ceremony arch that looked as if it had naturally grown from the architecture behind it. The Claire La Faye gown featured a soft chiffon cape (a trend that I think is going to be huge over the next few years!) that blew perfectly in the winds of Southern France. And, of course, the bride’s look was tied together with a chic updo and feminine makeup by Janelle on Location. The entire romantic affair was an absolute vision and there are so many more details to enjoy below — I’ll let the lovely pictures do the rest of the talking for me!
As always, an amazing team of vendors made this wedding in Provence, France a beautiful reality!
