Kristine and Will were married in an elegant wedding affair at the Thomas Birkby House in Leesburg, VA earlier this fall. You might remember this sweet couple from their Georgetown engagement session last spring because it’s certainly hard to forget their adorable French bulldog, Cleo, who came to the shoot as well! Well, to my delight, Cleo was actually able to make it to the wedding! Both of their faces lit up upon her arrival and you know I was in heaven having tons of time to snuggle this little pup in between takes. 

But I should take a small step back because that isn’t the first time I saw their faces light up that day. Will and Kristine opted to do a first look so they could enjoy lots of time with their friends and family after they said, “I do”. I could tell Will was a bit anxious as he waited for Kristine to come tap him on the shoulder and earlier in the day I heard Kristine proclaim that she just wished it was time for the first look already (my kind of girl!). So as the much anticipated moment arrived, it came as no surprise that Will had one of my all time favorite reactions — the biggest, beaming smile from ear to ear. These two quickly embraced and you could immediately tell that any lingering anxiety quickly disappeared. 

As much as I loved their first look and our time with Cleo, I mostly just enjoyed getting to know their friends and family. The entire group had the most positive disposition from beginning to end as they truly just wanted to soak up the joy these two emitted.  Bob gave a touching speech about raising his beautiful, strong-willed daughter and Kristine’s grandma, Lily, was the queen of the dance floor. It was an amazing day and I am so honored to have been a part of it along with the rest of their amazing team!
