I truly think each season as a Washington, DC wedding photographer only gets better and better and 2019 was no exception! It’s no secret that I LOVE my clients — they are the biggest reason I continue to work super hard to run this business; because I love serving them and being a part of their big day by providing classic images that will last a lifetime. This was my first year cutting back the number of weddings I shot throughout the season and it was the best decision I made; I was able to serve each and every couple fully and still provide those rapid e-mail response times! I’m taking on the same number in 2020 and am actually already fully booked, so cheers to another great year ahead!
In the meantime, I, of course, have to travel back to 2019 and give you a peek into all the fun that transpires throughout the season! I always kick off the wedding day by photographing details — this is my warm up period and helps set the tone for the rest of the day! I love telling the story from beginning to end… even if that means using a forklift to hang your dress for an epic shot at the Congressional!
Next up, our brides! I never limit myself to “just” photography — on a wedding day, we serve you in whatever way we can! Holding your dress, fixing your hair, fluffing your veil — you name it, we’ve done it. We simply want you to look and feel your absolute best!
Apparently once we get into wedding party and family portraits, I will do lots and lots of hand gesturing/pointing….
And then, we’re rolling! Couples portraits, your vows, cocktail hour, and reception! Sometimes we are taking charge to grab those more formal images and sometimes we are a fly on the wall to capture moments as they unfold.
Oh, and I can’t forget… all the silly moments in between! We have such a passion for this job that we show up with energy and enthusiasm to last your entire day!
Cheers! (I feel like I have to mention this was so not at a wedding — I would never, ever wear jeans to a wedding!!)
I have to leave a quick shout out to my sweet and talented second shooters: Rebekah, Jessica, and Erin who were such a blessing to have with me this entire season! Thank you for all these crazy photos and for always being willing to help me on a wedding day!
To all my couples from 2019, thank you for allowing me be part of such a big day with your closest friends and family; it’s nothing short of an honor to be able to capture these memories for you. And to my 2020 couples, you’re in for a wonderful year ahead!
