Katie and Kory’s Westfields Golf Club wedding was such a beautiful event, so I was absolutely ecstatic to get to relive the day by working with her to create a Leather Legacy Wedding album! I offer two different types albums: leather and linen (if you remember Sam & Matt’s Mill at Fine Creek album, that was the linen version!). Both are absolutely beautiful, but there are definitely some difference between the two that I believe need to be outlined. First, the leather albums have much thicker pages which creates a larger book. It also comes with a slightly different case to accommodate it’s bigger size. A lot of times these cases will be an additional charge, so I love that they are included with every single order — they ensure the safety of your album for years to come. The linen albums offer 11 different color choices, which is incredible — my personal favorite is a soft grey called, “smoke”! The leather book also has a huge variety; in the standard leather, there are 7 options and in the premium leather, there are 17!! Beyond the aesthetics of both albums, I would say the overall biggest difference would be that, leather will have a longer lifespan. In general, leather is more durable then linen — of course, linen, if well cared for, can certainly last for generations as well!
I’ve had several brides ask me which I prefer, leather or linen, and I truly cannot answer that; I think it’s a personal preference that is unique to each client. I recommend inquiring about color choices and basing your decision off of that — you want an heirloom that will truly last a lifetime, so pick what is most fitting for you! Take a look through Katie and Kory’s book below for a more in depth feel of the leather wedding album.
