Martha Stewart Weddings: Rust Manor Wedding Feature

May 20, 2019

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had several images featured on articles over at Martha Stewart Weddings throughout the past few years. Up until this point, all of them had been from various styled shoots that I had designed and photographed. Just recently, however, they were researching images to use for an article about ways to incorporate eucalyptus throughout a wedding day and came across one they liked from Lauren & Robert’s Rust Manor House wedding that I shot last fall.

I loved how the editor, Chloe, describes this latest trend: “Although flowers will always be a permanent fixture at weddings, it’s no secret that greenery is rapidly gaining popularity with many couples. It’s not hard to see why—verdant greens pair well with any big-day vibe or color palette. A key player in the greenery trend? Eucalyptus. With over 800 species available, the plant is not hard to come by, making it easily accessible for your wedding day. Another benefit? It’s an evergreen plant, meaning you can incorporate it into your event no matter the season. If its accessibility isn’t reason enough to jump on this trend, the following photos just might convince you to include eucalyptus in your ceremony and reception décor. Ahead, you’ll find out just how versatile this greenery really is. Whether you choose to use it in large decorative moments (such as lush aisle arrangements) or small capacities (one couple’s wedding exit included a eucalyptus toss) this plant is sure to make a statement. Searching for the perfect nonfloral element to include in your wedding bouquet? Eucalyptus is a no-brainer. Just look to this dramatic arrangement by Moore Flowers. Although protea and other greenery were added to the mix, the lengthy vines of eucalyptus that cascaded from the bouquet definitely made it a stand out.”

If that isn’t reason enough to read the whole article, at least head over so you can check out my image HERE! But seriously, this is a great one that you don’t want to miss!

Martha Stewart Weddings featured 25 ways to use eucalyptus at your wedding, including one by Alicia Lacey at Rust Manor House in Leesburg, VA.
