A few months ago, I shared this RiverOaks Charleston, SC wedding that I photographed in May. To this date, it’s still one of my favorite shoots throughout my entire career as a Washington, DC wedding photographer. Don’t get me wrong, I love this city. I love it’s iconic architecture found in the tall columns and white marble of our historic buildings. But there is something special about the South, especially Charleston. I’ve visited that lovely location more time than I can even count and it truly brings home the classic idea of “Southern Charm”. 

RiverOaks, as I’ve previously mentioned is one of the most prestigious wedding venues in the area, and that’s saying quite a bit as Charleston is littered with wonderful options for newly engaged couples. I wanted the opportunity to showcase the beauty of this spot and the talent of all vendors involved. Everything from the vintage Gossamer gown and antique ring to the wild bridal bouquet and naked cake topped with delectable berries. Wedding Sparrow specializes in Fine Art weddings, so they were always my first choice. That being said, with so many incredible photographers submitting beautiful work, your first choice isn’t always a guarantee, but more of a goal! I was ecstatic when Sara and her team agreed that it would be a good fit and have been patiently waiting to share this feature with my readers!
