Some days, I really dislike Facebook. It’s a time wasting, jealousy making, stalking machine that is incredibly hard to stay away from. But, other days, I’m amazed at it’s ability to connect people and grow friendships. Charlotte is a fellow photographer who attended the same high school as my husband, Rob, and we randomly connected a few months ago! It’s crazy for me to think about how many people I’ve met from the Stafford area who are also Washington, DC anniversary photographers or who have become brides of mine! I am so grateful for that amazing connection so Facebook, thank you for bringing this sweet friend my way — I guess I owe you one :)
She and her husband, Nik, now live in South Carolina near Clemson University. Nik does video production for the Clemson Athletic program, while Charlotte is a kindergarten teacher at a local school. When I asked if they would be willing to come to HHI for an anniversary session, Charlotte kindly obliged my request. I, stupidly, assumed that just because they lived in SC that it certainly must be close to the beach, right? Wrong. It was a nearly 5-hour drive for them, which proves how selfless and caring these two are. They even left their fur-baby, Ginny, behind — which if anyone understand how hard that can be, it’s me! We miss Granger so much when we go on vacation that sometimes we don’t even want to leave!
In just a few days, these two will be celebrating two beautiful years of marriage and it was privilege to photograph this incredible time in their lives. Thank you, Charlotte & Nik, for allowing me to share in this amazing moment with the two of you — I can’t wait to continue to watch your love and family grow together over the coming years!
