Hannah and Craig had a traditional cherry blossom engagement session in Washington, DC earlier this spring. This is truly one of the most beautiful times of year in the district, so I was thrilled when they wanted to do their shoot amongst the iconic blooms! The second half of their shoot was along the mall at both the DC War Memorial & the Lincoln Memorial so that we could also snap some photos with their sweet dogs.
I knew I adored Hannah and Craig the second I received their inquiry that was written by their pups, Scout and McAfee. If you’ve been following my blog for anytime, you know I’m a huge dog lover — I’m the person who stops strangers on the street to pet their dog with zero shame. When we hopped on our call, you know the first thing I asked after saying hello was if I could get a peek at the pups :) Hannah and Craig obviously share the same love that I do; they actually work as trainers for service dogs and their youngest, McAfee will be heading off for his assignment in the coming months — this is why you don’t see him pictured here!
But these two are so much more than just their dogs. They both share a love of the gym, which, ironically, is where they first met! Hannah said they haven’t missed a day of working out with one another since and also enjoy attending local sporting events and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
I had so much fun over the past few weeks planning outfits with Hannah for their cherry blossom engagement session! Just wait until you get a peek at the images below; they are absolute perfection! Now go enjoy a glimpse of the famous cherry blossoms of Washington, DC — they were certainly showing off for their sunrise shoot!
