There is something about motherhood that creates a quite confidence in the women that it so gently blesses. A profound beauty and sense of self naturally fills her face in a manner that cannot be recreated by man. As she prepares for this new phase in her life, she takes some time to reflect on the journey that brought her to this moment and looks ahead to the changes that are near. They say there is no bond in the world stronger than a mother to her child and I think that is clear in these images. Although Ann’s beautiful boy has not year made an appearance, their connection is deep; she knows his every movement, as he too knows hers. And in this moment alone, yet together, they are one.
The understated beauty of RiverOaks in Charleston, SC was the perfect location to capture Ann intimate maternity photos. While typically a wedding venue, the kind owner Marianne opened up their property. RiverOaks boasts architecture with a gorgeous European flare that is complemented by those iconic oaks trees that can only be found in the south. It’s waterfront views are parallel to none and immediately upon arrival, you’ll feel as if you’ve stumbled upon a private oasis. This dreamy maternity session was photographed on Fuji 400H film and developed by the team at Photovision.
If you missed it, their session was featured on one of my favorite blogs: The Fount Collective! Of course, a huge thank you to our gorgeous model, Ann, who is about to celebrate the birth of her first child. And to all the amazing vendors that came together for this shoot!
