This “Bridal Business” series I started is truly one of my favorites as I love sharing my past experiences and knowledge with both my current and prospective brides. Think about it — a wedding photographer is probably the one person who spends the most time with a couple on their wedding day, so who better than to look for advice from!? We’ve been to wedding after wedding, each unique, and each adding a different tool to our proverbial kit! And then I love taking those nuggets as a Washington, DC wedding photographer and sharing them with you all here!

That being said, blogs aren’t for everyone and I couldn’t be sure that Bridal Business, while popular, was reaching everyone. I wanted to find an additional means of reaching my brides and so when one of my long-time mentors, Katelyn, released a template I scooped it up immediately. I quickly found myself overwhelmed — with over 75 pages, there were a lot of images to be swapped and content to be updated to make this fully personalized to my business. I swept it under the rug for a year, claiming it as a project to do in the future. Well, the future came and went and when Katelyn released an updated version this past winter, I knew it was finally time to get to work. I spent the majority of February curating content and images all while translating several of my key Bridal Business posts into articles for my guide. And the result is just oh so pretty that I HAD to share!!! 

But beyond just being aesthetically pleasing, in creating this guide, I wanted to develop a resource that my couples could reach for time and time again as they planned for their big day. When they realized that rain was in the forecast, they could turn to page 64 to be reassured that we would still ensure adequate portrait time. Or if a couple was on the fence about a first look, they could read through several pages of real experiences from past brides and grooms. And when they weren’t sure what to wear, some of my stylish couples would be able to serve as inspiration through their images. I’m quite excited to begin sending this to all of my new ALP couples and hope it serves as a means of education they couldn’t receive elsewhere! Here are a few peeks, but I’m keeping the rest under wraps as a surprise for new brides and grooms of the ALP family!
