Hi, I'm Alicia.

UWL: An Elegant Rust Manor House Wedding Feature

Feb 19, 2019

It’s hard to pick just one part from Lauren and Robert’s Rust Manor House wedding last October that I could pinpoint as my favorite! From the onset of the day, it was clear how much time and love they put into making their wedding day a unique affair. They both chose to forgo a wedding party so they could focus on one another throughout the day. Another thing I loved is that rather than exchanging their vows in front of hundreds of guests, they decided it would be more personal to read them quietly alone before they walked down the aisle to say “I do.” And after the ceremony? They took a moment to share in a champagne toast, just the two of them!

The personal touches were not just woven throughout the events of the day, they were also present in the details! I think all of their guests would agree with me that walking into their tented reception space was beyond impressive. This having been my first time shooting at Rust Manor, I was already looking forward to seeing the space dressed up for the evening. But it was Lauren and Robert’s vision that took the place to another level! Guests were greeted by a wooden seating chart built by the groom himself. Inside the tent, ivy-covered chandeliers hung from the ceiling, lighting the floral and gold tables below. Behind the dining area were a few additional items built by Robert, including a classic black-and-white dance floor and monogrammed bar. Finally, a hand-painted version of their love story was displayed for everyone to enjoy.

Seeing the level of dedication that went into this day made me feel even more privileged the wedding photographer who got to capture it all; after all, it needed to be remembered properly! The only thing more exciting was when it was accepted to be published on my favorite local blog, United With Love, because I knew that other future brides would get to be inspired by this gorgeous day!
