I thought it would be fun to do a follow up to my original 10 Things post from a couple weeks ago. I just want to give y’all a chance to get to know a little bit more about me. I know I said it before, but these are really hard to come up with — but you never know what someone else will relate to or find interesting, so I’m putting it all out there for you! I love hearing from you guys too, so please leave some comments with your funny quirks!
Also, thought this would be a nice breezy post as Rob and I are in the midst of packing for our vacation — we are leaving Washington, DC tomorrow to spend a week in Seattle, Portland, and a couple spots in between. We are really excited to have a nice mix of city and nature all in one trip. I cannot wait to share pictures when we get back! Seattle is infamous for it’s rain, so do a little anti-rain dance for us.
- I cannot be in the same room as someone eating if I’m not also eating. The sound of chewing/slurping goes right through me. Found out this quirk has an actual name: misophonia.
- I think I qualify as a gum addict! I keep a pack in my purse, one in my work bag, one at my desk, etc. Oh, and it has to be Orbit Sweet Mint!
- I was a dancer of all trades for the first 14 years or so of life. Ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern — you name it, I did it.
- My first concert ever was the Backstreet Boys at the Hershey Park Arena. To this day: BSB>N*Sync
- My biggest phobia is probably clowns — just yuck, whenever I see them they give me the willies.
- I cannot drive stick. I tried once and decided, “eh, what’s the point?” That’s why they make automatic, right?!
- I like to think I’m a pretty decent baker; I try out a new recipe almost every week. But one thing I cannot master to save my life? Melting chocolate!
- I cannot stand to have my toenails unpainted but never paint my fingernails!
- Running is super new to me — I only started within the past 2 years. Even worse, I’ve yet to run outside! It’s a hard skill to learn this late in the game!
- Titanic is still my favorite movie. I realize it’s not even close to the *best* movie I’ve ever seen, but I just have a soft spot for it and watch it on my birthday every year.
