Joanna and Nico were married this July at the iconic Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC. It was a wedding day that I had been looking forward to for over a year for so many different reasons. Mainly, Joanna and Nico are the nicest, most thoughtful couple you could ever meet. To say this was a detailed affair would simply be an understatement (more on that in Part 2!), but it required a lot of back and forth to prepare and ensure these two had a perfect day. Joanna was never anything but gracious and always accommodating to photography needs to make sure I didn’t miss anything! She would send sweet messages and I never saw her without a smile.
As much as I have loved getting to know these two, it was as much of an honor, if not more, to get to know their friends and family. I captured Joanna and Nico’s “official” Catholic ceremony a few days prior to the big celebration, so I had the opportunity to meet their entire family in advance of the wedding day after arriving in DC from New York and Nicaragua. I was always welcomed with open arms and could never thank Liz, Joanna’s sister and MOH, enough for all the help she provided throughout both days!
As I mentioned above, this wedding was a photographer’s dream for so many reasons but one other was the amount of DETAIL! So much so that I have so many amazing images I am splitting this one into two so you can really take it all in! Enjoy Part 1…. Part 2 will be coming on Thursday!
A huge thank you to these vendors for making Joanna & Nico’s wedding amazing! And to Erin Schrad Photography for being an awesome second shooter!
