I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, writing about friends is hard! I love getting to know all my couples and clients on a personal level and sharing their stories, but that always comes a lot easier because I have a limited amount of information I’m working with — when it’s someone you’ve known for a while, you have pages and pages of material to narrow down! 

We actually met Katie and Jeremy at, where else, Petsmart! Granger was taking several obedience classes to earn her Canine Good Citizen, two of which were with Katie and Jeremy. We quickly bonded over a love of our dogs and Tory Burch shoes. Thankfully after class ended they asked us out on a double date — we hit it off immediately and the rest is history. We try to see each other on a weekly basis for dinner, drinks, or a doggy date! One of my favorite trips with them was our day in Charlottesville exploring Pippin Hill, Blenheim, and other beautiful vineyards that place has to offer. 

It was earlier this summer when we had them over for a cookout, and Katie asked what we would be doing in January. We’ve previously watched their pup Piper, so I thought maybe they had a trip coming up and needed a place for her to stay. She had an even bigger surprise for us — she was pregnant!! And even bigger, with twins!! I can honestly say no one is more ready to handle the joy of two babies than this amazing couple. It’s been such a blessing to share the journey with them from the beginning and watch that belly grow at twice the rate. We are so lucky to have met these incredible friends and I can’t wait to meet these two handsome boys in just a few short weeks! Their names remain a secret to their friends and family, so we are all very anxious, to say the least!
