Stephanie and Robert’s Virginia Tech engagement session was one of my favorites of the whole season — we had a beautiful sunrise that highlighted the gorgeous colors of fall and a quite campus all to ourselves. We went everywhere from the duck pond, to the drill field, and even the stadium. It was my first time on campus, despite living in VA for almost 10 years now since I first landed at James Madison University after high school (which is crazy!) and I was definitely not disappointed, to say the least! It’s actually somewhat embarrassing to admit this, but, I applied to VT as one of my safety school to JMU along with Penn State. I’m ashamed to say I had no interested in going there and never even went on a tour! But that’s only because I had eyes for my now alma matter and absolutely regret nothing; while I know attending this school would have been a blast, I met my husband at my school and well you just can’t beat that :) 

I love nothing more than meeting other couples who also fell in love on their school’s campus. It’s like being part of a little club who loves their college just a little more than is normal. I don’t visit every month (heck, barely even every year), but every time you drive by, you smile knowingly. I’ve never told anyone this, but if we have a girl, we want her middle name to be Madison or James for a boy. And trust me, while some people might laught, I KNOW a couple Stephanie and Robert would just get it. Their romance started on the drill field as they were both part of the marching band. This place played a huge role in their relationship and was of course somewhere we had to return for photos.
