If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you’ll know that Rob and I are huge fans of anniversary sessions. (And by Rob and I, I mean just me… but he doesn’t mind TOO much ;) ) We have done a session every year since we were married, long before they were as popular as they are today. And each session was captured by a different photographer because to me, each year of our lives together was so different that I wanted each session to look and feel different as well to reflect that!

This year, however, we decided to use our AMAZING third anniversary photographer, Laura Gordon, who is nothing short of an artist and visionary. Because this year may just have been the most unique anniversary of them all… see we had to wait a few months after our anniversary to have our session because it was also going to be our maternity session! We were absolutely over the moon when we found out on Valentine’s Day that I was expecting and due later this fall. Although we haven’t shared too much about my pregnancy, largely for our own privacy but also out of respect to those still trying, I did want to share a bit of the journey with you as I always post our anniversary images! 

I could literally not be more thrilled with the vision Laura had for our session. I told her right away that I love the artsy images in addition to the traditional ones and I feel like she provided us with the perfect balance of the two. I am beyond grateful to have this time of our lives captured so beautifully and cannot wait to see what she comes up with in a few months when we have our newborn baby boy home with us!
