Emily and Greg were married in a perfect fall wedding at Rixey Manor in Rixeyville, Virginia this September.  Looking back, I still remember the day Emily first told me I was going to be her wedding photographer. No, it wasn’t this January when we got everything officially booked after Greg’s Christmas Eve proposal, it was nearly 2 years prior to that, just after she and Greg had been on a few dates.  She immediately knew this was the man she was going to marry and he felt the same way about her. I’ve never counted it as anything less than an honor that I was one of the vendors she dreamed of having as part of their special day.  And when that day finally arrived this year, it was nothing short of what I imagined it would be. I obviously feel a deep connection with all of my couples, but Emily is like a little sister to me, so I had “all the emotions” watching her become a bride and wife to this amazing man. 

Being an awesome wedding photographer herself (check her out!),  it should come as no surprise that Emily not only picked a dream team of vendors but had each minute of their day planned to a “t”.  She made the entire process a breeze and I think you’ll agree after seeing the photos below that her vision was absolutely stunning.  That being said, it wasn’t just a “pretty” day; it was also a heartfelt and very personal day for these two and their families. This intimate affair brought together only those closest to them so they could ensure time was spent with each individual guest. They also picked a venue that would allow them to bring their sweet dog, Lily, so she could be part of their celebration as well…  just wait until you see the Lily shaped dog cake, it’s unreal! 

 I couldn’t possibly finish this post without sending my love to the sweet couple behind it all, Emily and Greg.  You know I love you both dearly and I can’t thank you enough for giving me the privilege of capturing your wedding day. Thank you for treating us like family and trusting me with your vision!
