I’ve been so, so fortunate to have my work featured on many different wedding and lifestyle blogs, but recently had another new first — a feature on a dress designers blog!! Brittany wore a stunning Mikaella gown that was the perfect combination of relaxed elegance for her oceanside wedding in the Outer Banks earlier this September. It comes as absolutely no surprise that this bride, of all my beautiful girls, would be featured on a designer’s website. She runs a successful fashion blog based out of Newport News, VA that focuses on all things modern, chic, and glam (which is, coincidentally, exactly how I’d describe her wedding day!). The dress itself was covered in lace with a show-stopping low back. I love that she ditched the traditional strapless gown in lieu of a simple cap sleeve. And to top is off, the perfect cathedral length veil. But not just any veil, a veil that donned the same lace as Kate Middleton’s! Isn’t that just amazing!?! One of the most iconic outfits of all time was, in small part, shared by my bride. The lace is very rare and handmade, so this is truly a one of a kind piece. It went perfectly with her gown and I swear, mouths dropped as she came down the aisle. 

I also can’t forget to mention the rest of Brittany’s outfit and that is her fun accessories! Her something blue was her gorgeous teal Badgley Mischka open toe pumps. I loved that she was happy to ditch these when we stopped at the beach for sunset portraits; even barefoot, she was the most stunning bride! She kept the rest of her look simple to highlight the dress, wearing just small drop earrings and family bracelet.
