It’s not every day that I get to travel for photography, but when I do, I absolutely love it. If you’ve been following my blog for any time now, you’ll know that my husband, Rob, and I both have a wanderlust that cannot be cured. We’ve gone on several large trips to Europe that cover multiple countries at once, and have explored nearly every large city in the United States. Often times people categorize you into being a “city” person or an “outdoors” person but I truly could never decide. As much as I love walking the streets of Paris, I also adore seeing the incredible landscapes in Switzerland. To me, one view isn’t better than the other which is why I just want to visit all the places! 

Another place that never seems to get old is visiting the beach. No matter the time of year, I love being seaside as there is something so calming about being near the water. We visited Hilton Head Island this past summer, but had been itching to go back to the shore as the winter blues were getting down. When Brittany floated the idea of us coming to the Outer Banks for her engagement session, we jumped at the opportunity! We left Washington, DC with our pup in tow to photograph their lovely session that was the perfect balance of garden chic followed by beachy casual. Brittany is actually a fashion blogger, so it should come as no surprise that she had the perfect outfits planned for both locations!
