If you’ve been reading my blog for some time, you will know that I love pulling together styled shoots! I think they are such a fun opportunity to work with your dream team of vendors and pull together something that will inspire not just your brides, but brides across the country! Some of my past favorite shoots that I’ve photographed have been: Downton Abbey, Cinderella, and Fairy Tale Romance.

That all being said, when my dear friend Lauren of Lauren Swann Photography reached out to me last winter to ask if myself and Rob would be the models for her styled shoot at Historic London Town & Gardens in Annapolis, Maryland, I was beyond flattered and immediately agreed – how exciting to get to be on the other side of the camera in such a gorgeously styled shoot! She planned a very romantic organic shoot with my friend, Kat, of Dear Sweetheart Events, and together created a bit of magic!

Rob and I arrived that afternoon and were greeted by one of the coldest days that winter! I brought leggings and boots to hide under my dress, but the thought of bare arms was almost unimaginable! As I got my hair and makeup done, the sun shone bright and I hoped it was quickly warming up the day. We finally emerged to no such luck – cold as when we arrived! But I tell you all of this not to complain, but to describe what happened next. Lauren, being the professional that she is, handled like an absolute champ. She kept me covered in my jacket as long as possible and shot so quickly that we were only outside for less than 30 minutes! You would never know by looking at these images how little time she had with how many different poses she was able to get! It’s such a joy getting to see another creative work and it goes to show why Lauren is such a wonderful photographer!

Their shoot was featured on Artfully Wed just a few weeks ago and it was so cool to get to see ourselves on the pages of this awesome blog!
