Rob and I had been planning our European adventure for over a year, right around the same time I was thinking about our fourth anniversary session. Each year we’ve done something special, and I thought this year it might be fun to combine our love of travel with our anniversary session tradition. I searched high and low and just couldn’t find any international photographers that I loved and eventually gave up on the idea. Then, fate stepped in — I saw a note on Michael & Carina’s Facebook page that they would be in Germany this past summer and I figured, why not try to see if there is a way THEY would be available rather than trying to find a stranger! These two came all the way from Munich, Germany to Salzburg, Austria and spent the day with us — doing everything from wandering around the city to driving out to a castle (from The Sound of Music, of course!) and the mountains!
I’ve written many times about my love for anniversary sessions and finding the time to reflect our past year, so I’ll spare you this time around (feel free to catch up here and here!). But I can’t go without thanking Rob for always indulging my wild, crazy dreams. Whether it be something small like posing for pictures or helping with the chores or something big like traveling or starting a photography business — he is always there to support me. I may be the face of Alicia Lacey Photography, but I couldn’t do it without him there cheering me on. Alright, now go check out my handsome husband (humble brag) and this gorgeous scenery shot by two incredible photographers!!!
How beautiful is this crystal blue river that we stumbled upon? We were just driving through Austria, looking to find a spot to capture the stunning mountain ranges, and then saw this running stream down below. We knew we had to stop and it ended up being my favorite location of the entire session!
