I had the honor of capturing Sarah & Amal’s romantic wedding at Antrim 1844 this March. Typically, when you think of March weather in the DMV, one word comes to mind: unpredictable. I remember chatting with Sarah the first time we met about what the weather may be like on their big day — rain, of course, is always a possibility no matter what time of year, but we couldn’t help but wonder if we would get unseasonably warm or cold temperatures. One thing is for certain… neither of us expected for there to be SNOW, but sure enough, that’s what we had! Just days prior, the area experienced a (very) late-season storm that left the ground covered in those soft, white flakes of winter. And while some couples would be upset to learn their spring wedding just got a twist of winter, these two didn’t miss a beat. They allowed me to pose them in and out of the snow, twice, and did it with a smile on their faces. See, the thing about Sarah & Amal is, they simply exude happiness. They soaked in one of the best days of their lives with the people who mattered most to them and didn’t spend time worrying about the little details.
The details, however, were more than taken care of by their coordinator, Elizabeth, the talented visionary behind East Made Event Co. She executed the day beautifully and put unique touches on every aspect. Courtney, the artistic florist of Loblolly Farms, designed one of my time favorite bouquets that I photographed endlessly. And just wait until you see the sweetheart table that these two dreamed up! This, and so much more, are all in the photos below so I will wrap it up so you can enjoy!
A huge thank you to these vendors for making Sarah & Amal’s wedding amazing! And to Emily Marie Photography for being an awesome second shooter!
