Before buying our first house last year, Rob and I lived in a teeny tiny one bedroom apartment that was barely big enough to fit us and our dog! Needless to say, we didn’t have our families up too often as there just wasn’t the space for everyone.
Since we moved into our new house, however, I’ve been looking forward to playing hostess for quite some time and Easter seemed like just the right opportunity; it’s not as big of a holiday as Thanksgiving or Christmas in case of a kitchen failure! Both of our parents pitched in and I think everything turned out fantastic! I’m definitely looking forward hosting more events in the future. It’s such a blessing to be able to have everyone in one place. My parents live in PA and Rob’s parents live in southern VA, so they are about 4 hours apart and we land somewhere in the middle. It’s hard for them to get together given the distance and in our almost three years of marriage, they have only seen each other a handful of times. We are hoping to make this an annual tradition that grows as our families grow (and no, that is certainly not a pregnancy announcement!).
As most of you already know due to my What’s Cooking Wednesday series, I absolutely love to cook (and bake)! So I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my recipes I used on Easter Sunday as well as pictures of how they turned out.
I would absolutely LOVE if you could share links below to some of your favorite dishes for us to try out!
Sweet Baked Ham | Pecan + Bacon Green Beans | Pineapple Stuffing | Bacon Cheddar Au Gratin Potatoes
