I absolutely loved having the honor of capturing Caitlin & Luke’s Market at Grelen wedding in Somerset, VA this past May. Without even know the details of what they had planned, I knew it was going to be such a joy celebrating with these two. I had previously captured their engagement session at Airlie Center in Warrenton, VA and had such a blast getting to know them. They are one of those couples that are hard not to instantly like upon your first meeting. Both are so kind and carefree that you immediately feel like the best version of yourself in their presence. Oh, and to sweeten the pot, they brought with them their two adorable dogs, Chunk and Frank, so you know I was in heaven! 

The pups weren’t able to join us on the wedding day, of course, but instead, I got the pleasure of meeting their friends and family. It’s clear just by looking at their wedding party size how much of an impact this sweet couple has had on those around them. They were surrounded by love the entire day and I truly don’t think I’ve ever been to such a personal wedding. Each speech was more special (and emotional!) than the last and every interaction was intentional and heartfelt. 

In addition to being such a memorable day, they also had a plethora of gorgeous details to photograph!  They had a donut wall (um, yum!), ice cream truck (double yum!), and tons of lush florals filling the reception space. Not to mention, there was the most stunning panoramic view of the Shenandoah Valley which served as the backdrop for their portraits. Caitlin also chose a blush pink color palette that was tastefully highlighted by pops of deep red and cream, making this the perfect wedding to showcase on this romantic holiday of Valentine’s Day!
