Hi, I'm Alicia.

3 Fun Ways to Propose to Your Bridesmaids!

Jul 6, 2017

Let’s be honest, even before you get engaged, most brides already have a good idea of who they want to have in their wedding party. It may take a bit of discussing with your fiancé — after all, while odd numbers certainly work, you don’t want to have 10 on one side and only 4 on the other. Once you find a good balance you want to immediately make sure all those “must haves” are by your side for the big day! It’s become a new tradition to find creative ways to ask, “Will you be my bridesmaid?,” and I’m sharing some of the fun ideas below!

1. Get a small gift! … because who doesn’t love receiving gifts!? If you’re anything like me, I also truly love giving them — there is something about seeing the receiver’s face light up and knowing you found the perfect thing for them. Each bridesmaid might be different, but in general, a small piece of jewelry goes a long way. Bonus points if it can be used for the wedding! Other fun ideas include a “bridesmaid survival kit” that has a personalized hanger and bottle of wine!

2. Plan a get-together! You’re likely already close with anyone who is going to be part of your wedding day, so it should be easy to get everyone together for a girl’s day out. A small brunch, wine tasting, or even coffee date would be great chances to pop the question in person! If you’re feeling creative, incorporate personalized spoons, wine, or mugs respectively.

3. Send an invite! After reading the options above, this might not sound as exciting, but there an endless amount of unique ways to pull this one off and it’s certainly not limited to a traditional greeting card. You could hide a message in a fortune cookie, plant it inside of a balloon or egg to be popped, design a puzzle, or even better, send something edible! Cookies, chocolates, cupcakes, and so much more can be customized with your special message! If keeping it simple is more your style, a handwritten note goes a long way.

No matter how you ask, just keep the message heartfelt and genuine — after all, these are the ladies who will be holding your hand (and dress!) as you prepare for the biggest day of your life.
